A Temecula man was arrested Aug. 28 in connection with a home invasion robbery earlier in the week in an unincorporated county area south of Pechanga Resort and Casino.

According to a Riverside County Sheriff's Department news release, a search warrant was served at the suspect's residence in the 30000 block of Bridgeview Circle in Temecula. The suspect, Stephan Sethman, 39, of Temecula was located and taken into custody without incident. He was booked at the Southwest Detention Center for various charges including armed robbery.

The search warrant was part of an investigation of an Aug. 25 home invasion robbery in the 47000 block of Shady Oaks Lane in the unincorporated area of Riverside County.

Upon arrival, deputies contacted the victim, who stated that an unknown male suspect had knocked at his door and when the victim answered the door, the suspect brandished a firearm and forced his way inside the home. The victim was forced inside a bathroom and locked inside while the suspect ransacked the house, stealing various items.

The suspect fled the scene in a dark-colored vehicle, leaving the victim unharmed. Over the next few days, deputies gathered information which led them to identify the suspect.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is encouraged to call Detective Fisher at the Temecula Police Department at 951-696-3000.
