Each week of the school year, Murrieta 24/7 honors top student-athletes at Murrieta Valley High School. The coach of each varsity sport is allowed to select one athlete based on the previous week's performances or on potential shown by the athlete. Here are this week's Murrieta Valley High School Athletes of the Week:

Just a freshman, Brooklyn Van Bebber led the girls golf team to a victory over Murrieta Mesa with a low score of 43 last week.

Sophomore cross country runner Morgan Burns shaved two minutes off her personal best time during the Woodbridge Invitational Sept. 20. According to coach Fabrice Vuillemey, that performance put her on the varsity team the school is sending to the Desert Twilight race in Arizona on Oct. 4.

Anthony Aldrian of the boys cross country team has been a part of the program for the past three years. He was the first Murrieta Valley across the finish line at Woodbridge with a personal best time of 15:54, the first time he has broken the 16-minute mark.

Junior center Hudson Rawlings was honored for his play from the center position for the Nighthawks water polo team.

These athletes will be eligible for selection as Murrieta Valley High School's Athletes of the Month, which will be announced the first week of October.
