Town Square Park will come alive with the sights and sounds of Christmas on Saturday when the City of Murrieta hosts a Festival of Trees and Push Cart Parade.

The event will take place from 3-8:30 p.m. at the park behind City Hall near the intersection of Jefferson Avenue and Kalmia Street. Many brightly decorated and themed trees will be scattered throughout the park for viewing by guests. A tree lighting ceremony will feature choirs from around the city.

In addition, a push cart parade will proceed from Washington Avenue and Kalmia Street to the park beginning at 5 p.m.

The festive event will include food vendors, a crafters village, face painting and pictures with Santa. Guests are urged to bring non-perishable goods or unwrapped toys for donation.
