The Murrieta Valley Pop Warner cheer teams for the Jr. Pee Wee Seahawks, Pee Wee Nighthawks, and Jr. Midget Blackhawks, have all qualified to compete in the National Pop Warner Cheer Competition this year.

This is the first time that three teams have qualified in the 23 years of Murrieta Valley Pop Warner. Led by their coaches, Stephanie Snyder (Seahawks), Desiree YanKauskas (Nighthawks), and Tammy Millar (Blackhawks), the cheer teams worked hard practicing not only for the football games they cheered at, but in preparation for the competition routine that they performed at the local cheer competition on Oct. 26, at the Aztec Arena in San Diego. All teams at this competition, had to place first or second to move to the Wescon Regional Competition that took place on Nov. 15, at the Long Beach Arena. Against stronger competition, the Murrieta squads once again had to place first or second again to advance to Orlando, in which they did.

The Murrieta Valley cheer teams will compete in Orlando, Florida at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World, from Dec. 8 to Dec. 12.
