Temecula Valley Astronomers Group will be exploring the night sky with families at the Murrieta Public Library's Garden of Verses.

On Jan. 27 at 6 p.m., the event will begin in the Library's Community Room with a short discussion about what children can expect to see in the night sky through the telescopes. Children are welcome to bring their personal telescopes and jackets are recommended.

“Events like this are both fun and educational,” says Youth Services Librarian, Allison Eagans in the press release. “We have provided this program annually with the excellent guidance of the Temecula Valley Astronomers Group for the last several years and the kids really seem to enjoy it.”

The event is free and open to the public, but space is limited to 60 participants. Passes will be available 30 minutes prior to the event.

The Murrieta Public Library is located at 8 Town Square (Adams Avenue and Kalmia Street). For more information about the program call (951) 304-BOOK (2665) or visit the Library’s web page at www.murrietalibrary.info.
