Two juveniles were arrested by Temecula Police after having allegedly burgled a home.

On Jan. 9, at approximately 9:15 a.m., Temecula officers responded to a call for a residential burglary that was in progress in the 31000 block of Loma Linda Road. The initial officer on the scene contacted a witness and broadcasted a physical description of the suspects over the police radio.

Officers established a perimeter around the neighborhood and temporarily placed Gardner Middle School on lockdown as a precaution; however, the children were not in any danger.

The suspects, a male and female juveniles, were spotted and positively identified by the witness. Both suspects were transported to Juvenile Hall and booked for burglary. Because they are minors, their names will not be released to the general public, according to the police report.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is encouraged to contact Officer Daughters or Officer Gardner at the Temecula Police Department at 951-696-3000.
