A Murrieta man suspected of three bank robberies in the area was arrested March 27 and booked at the Southwest Jail, Murrieta police reported today.

Alfred Durosca, 34, is believed to be responsible for robberies of the Visterra Credit Union on Hancock Avenue in Murrieta March 19; America West Bank in Temecula on March 23; and Compass Bank in Canyon Lake on March 27. He was spotted by a Border Patrol agent at the Walmart about 2 p.m. on March 27 and was detained without incident.

Murrieta Police Department detectives who responded to the Walmart determined the man was the suspect sought in all three cases, according to a news release.
