Sixty teams from throughout Southern California will compete in the Murrieta Valley Girls Softball Association 17th Annual Summer Bash at Cal Oaks Sports Park this weekend.

MVGSA, host of the event, recently completed a successful spring season. Approximately 500 girls ranging in age from 4-18 participated. Registration for the fall season begins in July.

The following cities will be representing in the Annual Bash: Chino, Claremont, Corona, Escondido, French Valley, Menifee, Murrieta, Rancho Bernardo, Rialto, Riverside and San Marcos. Teams in the 8U, 10U, 12U and 14U age divisions will compete. Games will be played throughout the three-day weekend. MVGSA upper division teams (ages 16-18) will travel to West Covina for tournament play.

MVGSA is a non-profit, 100 percent volunteer organization that teaches both the basic skills needed to learn the game and advanced skills to prepare players for competitive softball at the school and travel ball leels. MVGSA is registered with the American Softball Association and has been in the valley for 19 years.
