Vista Murrieta High School athletes posted dominating performances in the Southwestern League track and field finals, held earlier this week.

The Broncos swept the 100-meter races. Antonio Mitchell won the race in 10.51 seconds, beating teammate Cole Dubots (10.69). Amanda Van Buren won the girls race in 11.94 seconds and the 200 in 24.99.

Junior sprinter Michael Norman won the boys 200 meters in 20.69 seconds and the 400 in a time of 47.62.

Vista also won the boys 4x100 relay with a time of 41.58. Runners were Dubots, Mitchell, Jordan Testerman and Ricky Adams.

In the boys 110-meter hurdles, senior Nick Rack won the event in 14.78 seconds. Dejiah Joseph won the girls 300-meter hurdles in 48.14.

In the 4x400 relay, Vista's boys team of Adams, Norman, Kris Handy and Dubots finished first in 3:18.97. The Broncos girls team of Alex Wiseman, Josie Guinn, Luzella Harris and Van Buren took first with a time of 4:00.11.

In a long jump sweep, Jordan Testerman won the boys event with a leap of 21-11 and Lovie Burleson won the girls event with a mark of 19-0.5. Burleson won the triple jump at 38-11 and CJ Alumbres won the boys triple jump with a leap of 48-8.

Freshman Nicole Carmody won the high jump for Vista at 5 feet, while senior Nate Kelly won the boys event at 6-6.

Marcos Villegas was the shot put champion with a mark of 51-1.

The Broncos boys team won the team championship with 194 points. The girls finished second with 166.
