Firefighters now have 95 percent containment of the Anza brush fire, which consumed more than 450 acres since Monday,Cal Fire officials said on Thursday, Aug. 13.
The fire started in a motor home near the area of Highway 74 and Highway 371, fire officials said. A vegetation fire sparked by the motor home fire quickly spread. One civilian suffered first and second degree burns over 3 percent of her body. Three firefighters suffered minor injuries.
The fire, which began at 11:44 a.m. Monday, destroyed the motor home. Highway 74 was closed in both directions near Highway 371 on Monday.
