Murrieta Police are asking for the public's help in identifying the suspect in the robbery of a local restaurant in the early morning hours of Thursday, Sept. 17.
Officers responded to Dan's Got Crabs at 40469 Murrieta Hot Springs Road at 1:33 a.m. to the report of a robbery. According to authorities, an employee went outside to empty the trash and was approached from behind by a black male adult wearing a hooded sweatshirt, dark clothing, gloves and a mask. The employee was shoved to the ground by the suspect, who was armed with a metal pipe or bar.
The suspect ordered the two employees to the back of the business, then demanded and received cash. The suspect then fled in a dark colored SUV. Video of the crime was captured by a video surveillance system.
