Football player Kyle Williams and volleyball player Brianna Doehrmann are the Murrieta 24/7 Athletes of the Month for September from Vista Murrieta High School.

In his senior season, Williams has settled back into the position of wide receiver, a role he played before being pressed into service at quarterback last season. He has caught 26 passes for 515 yards and 5 touchdowns. He also gained 110 yards rushing for 2 touchdowns.

Due to his leadership and the talent of others, the Broncos are 4-1 heading into Friday night's league opener at Great Oak.

"Playing receiver is comfortable," said Williams, who is headed for Arizona State next year. "I do miss quarterback sometimes but it doesn't matter where I play. I just want to play."

Doehrmann is a senior libero with the girls volleyball team, which is 10-6 overall and 1-1 in league play. She leads the team with 163 digs.

She will attend the University of Utah next year and study biology.

Williams and Doehrmann received day passes to Rock Fitness gym. Anyone wishing to purchase a print copy of this article may do so by emailing murrieta247info@gmail.com.
