Salcedo, Robbin Named Murrieta Mesa Athletes of Month

Football player Austen Salcedo and tennis standout Sumer Robbin have been named Murrieta 24/7 Athletes of the Month for October, representing Murrieta Mesa High School.

Salcedo, a senior wide receiver, has caught 20 passes for 276 yards and 3 touchdowns. The Rams took a 4-5 record into Friday night's season finale against Chaparral.

Salcedo will compete in both baseball and track this spring.

Robbin, just a freshman, has added enthusiasm to the girls tennis team, playing a 3 1/2-hour match in the league finals last week. She has only been playing the sport 2 1/2 years.
