A traffic stop in Murrieta resulted in the arrest of two individuals on suspicion of passing counterfeit currency and burglary, with drug charges pending against one of the suspects.

A Murrieta Police officer conducting a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 41200 block of Murrieta Hot Springs Road on Nov. 14 discovered two occupants on active probation for previous felonies, according to police. A probation search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of $1,500 in counterfeit currency and drug paraphernalia.

Danielle Minnear, 48, of Temecula and Tino Lagura, 42, of Lake Elsinore were arrested after further investigation indicated both were believed to have passed counterfeit bills recently at several businesses in Murrieta and Lake Elsinore.

Minnear and Lagura were booked into Southwest Detention Center on suspicion of burglary, fraud, conspiracy, probation violation and counterfeit related charges.

On Wednesday, detectives serving a search warrant at Minnear's residence seized over seven pounds of processed marijuana, half an ounce of concentrated honey oil marijuana, a small amount of methamphetamine, and printing related supplies possibly related to the original counterfeit currency, according to police (photo above). Additional charges against Minnear are pending.
