A man was arrested Thursday on suspicion of murdering his wife at their Murrieta apartment, police said today.
Vincent Steven Elmer, 49, is accused of killing his 41-year-old wife, who was found deceased in their home at the Camden Apartments in the 24300 block of Jackson Avenue Thursday morning. He was booked on a murder charge at Southwest Detention Center, where he is being held on $1 million bail.
Officers arriving at the scene summoned detectives to investigate the woman's death, which they believed was suspicious. Members of the Coroner's Office also responded. According to a press release, the death did not appear to be accidental or self-inflicted. No other details about the death were released.
