Kimberly Davidson, business development manager for the City of Murrieta, today was named 67th Assembly District Woman of the Year by Assemblywoman Melissa Melendez (R-Lake Elsinore).

Davidson was chosen for her contributions as a business leader and volunteer in the community, according to a news release from Melendez's office. Davidson also serves on the Board of Directors of the Inland Valley Business Community Foundation and Find Me Foundation, which provides assistance to law enforcement in missing person cases.

She has served on the Board of Directors for the California Inland Counties American Marketing Association and was on the marketing committee for the Economic Development Corporation of Southwest California. She also has served as an ambassador for the Murrieta Chamber of Commerce and was manger of operations for the Professional Women's Roundtable.

"Kimberly has made it her career to help local small businesses thrive," said Melendez. "Her passion is rooted in the belief that small businesses are not just a major economic engine, but they are the fiber of our community. It is my honor to name Kimberly Davidson as my Woman of the Year.”

Davidson will be honored with a Resolution from Melendez during the Assemblywoman's Community Coffee event April 8 at 10 a.m. at The Shamrock Irish Pub & Eatery in Murrieta, 39252 Winchester Road.
