Each week, Murrieta 24/7 honors top student-athletes at Vista Murrieta High School. The coach of each varsity sport is allowed to select one athlete based on the previous week's performances or on potential shown by the athlete. Here are this week's Vista Murrieta honorees:

Chance Hroch pitched a one-hitter for the baseball team at Edison last week. He was one pitch away from a perfect game before giving up an infield hit. He faced only 22 batters in the game.

Outside hitter Karson Greeley played all six rotations in the boys volleyball team's tournament. "He gave it all he had and helped lead our team to the championship game of the Silver Division," said coach Kristen Cooke.

Sophomore Rachel Carr has six goals in four games for the girls lacrosse team, which has started the season 2-2 and 1-1 in league play.

Devony Dettman won the girls 100-meter dash for the track team, clocking 12.69 seconds in a March 10 meet against Riverside Poly.

Elijah Steward
had strong showings for the boys track team in the March 5 Wildcat Relays and the March 10 meet against Riverside Poly.
