Filos is Repeat Athlete of the Week for Murrieta Mesa

The final Murrieta Mesa High School athlete honored as a Murrieta 24/7 Athlete of the Week this school year is Zac Filos, whose pitching has helped the Rams advance to the third round of the CIF baseball playoffs.

Filos is 6-2 with a 1.31 ERA and is batting .278 for the Rams, who have already defeated Lakewood (8-0) and Esperanza (1-0) in the playoffs heading into Friday's game at Orange Lutheran. Mesa is 24-7 after winning its first Southwestern League title.

Filos, a senior, was also honored as Athlete of the Week the previous week.
