Each week, Murrieta 24/7 honors top student-athletes at Murrieta Mesa High School. The coach of each varsity sport is allowed to select one athlete based on the previous week's performances or on potential shown by the athlete. Here are this week's Murrieta Mesa honorees:

Justus Romo of the boys lacrosse team has been consistent all season, with a 65 percent save ratio. He is a captain of the team, which is 11-5, and a "leader on and off the field," according to his coach, Charles Arthur.

Solana Gonzalez has had a strong season for the girls lacrosse team, which is 13-5 this season.

Kevin Palm, a return honoree, continues to excel for the Rams baseball team. He is batting .348 this season and is 4-0 with a 0.82 ERA for the team, which is 20-6 overall.

Softball standout Paris Nguyen has played great defense of late and has "been on fire with the bat," according to her coach, Antonio Romero. She hit a home run in the top of the seventh inning to secure the school's first-ever league victory over Vista Murrieta, 7-5, on April 26.
