This story is an update of a story originally published June 18:

The California Highway Patrol is looking for the driver who fled the scene of a single-vehicle rollover accident resulting in six injuries and one fatality Saturday morning in Wildomar.

The accident was originally reported as a rollover accident in the parking lot of Inland Valley Medical Center, which is located on the east side of Interstate 15 just south of Clinton Keith Road. Additional information provided by the CHP today indicates that the 1995 Chevy Tahoe was traveling north on the freeway when it swerved onto the left shoulder, traveled back across all lanes onto the right shoulder and rolled down the embankment, landing in the medical center parking lot about 3:45 a.m.

Five of the passengers were ejected from the vehicle. A 22-year-old male was transported to the hospital and died of his injuries.

The driver fled the scene and has not been located. The seven passengers are all residents of Mexico between the ages of 19 and 29. They are cooperating with authorities in helping to find the driver, according to the CHP.

Anyone with information about this accident and/or the driver is asked to contact the Temecula office of the CHP at 951-506-2000.
