A Riverside man and Corona woman were arrested Monday after a traffic stop led to the discovery of drugs in their vehicle, Murrieta Police said today.
A police officer conducted the traffic stop at 4:30 a.m. near Washington Avenue and Elm Street. A records check of Raymond Isaac, 43, revealed that he had an outstanding misdemeanor warrant for his arrest and he was taken into custody. A search of Isaac revealed narcotics on his person. A police dog then alerted officers to the presence of narcotics inside the vehicle.
A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed a "significant" amount of methamphetamine, according to a news release. The other occupant of the vehicle, 41-year-old Janine Wade, was also arrested.
Both were booked into the Southwest Detention Center for possession of a controlled substance and the transportation of a controlled substance.
