The Murrieta Chamber of Commerce High School Student of the Month Program has resumed and the following students were honored for September recently:

Vista Murrieta High School senior Hassen Eid is an AP Scholar with distinction and is fifth in his class of 854. He has challenged himself with 15 AP and Dual Enrollment classes. Hassan is intelligent and he has an incredible work ethic. He has played four years of football and he is a Link Crew leader. Hassan believes you get what you put in and hard work fosters better results. He is known for his kindness, warmth and sense of humor. Hassen plans to pursue computer engineering at UC Berkeley, Stanford or Cal Tech.

Springs Charter Schools senior Cosimo Satalino is a talented actor and musician and he is destined for success in the entertainment industry. Cosimo is honest, hard-working, courteous and thoughtful. He has been involved in Temecula Valley Theatre, ASB and the Rotary Interact Club. Cosimo hopes to attend Julliard or New York University School of the Arts. Cosimo is an honors student who has taken AP and Dual Enrollment classes at MSJC. He is a role model for his peers on campus and over the summer he volunteered his time to teach a student with autism to play the guitar.

Murrieta Valley High School senior Ashlyn Gergins is a scholar athlete who is also involved in volleyball, student leadership and Virtual Enterprise. She played in the Wind Ensemble. Ashlyn has challenged herself by taking numerous AP and International Baccalaureate classes and she has a 4.3 GPA. She was chosen to serve as her school’s ambassador on a trip to China. Ashlyn is motivated, articulate and gracious. Although she is undecided on her future career and college, she plans to attend a four-year college and continue to play volleyball.

Calvary Murrieta Christian High School senior Adam Schwab is an outstanding student who maintains a 4.21 GPA. He leads worship at his school and is the quarterback on the football team. He is a member of National Honor Society and he plans to go to the Coast Guard Academy, major in civil engineering, and he hopes to play football or baseball. After college, Adam plans to serve his country in the Coast Guard before becoming a civil engineer. Adam strives to be the best he can be and he is known for his character, compassion for his classmates, diligence in his studies and his love for his Lord.

Murrieta Mesa High School senior Connor Saludares holds a 4.03 GPA and he has completed the Medical Pathway at Mesa. Connor plans to major in biochemistry or neuroscience at Stanford, Claremont McKenna College or Occidental College. He wants to be either an anesthesiology or a neurosurgeon. He has played football for four years and he spent two years on the varsity track and field team. Connor is known for being honest, humble, well-mannered and trustworthy. Connor tries to better himself each day because he knows a consistent effort to get better every day will lead to great improvements over time.
