Each week, Murrieta 24/7 honors top student-athletes at Murrieta Valley High School. The coach of each varsity sport is allowed to select one athlete based on the previous week's performances or on potential shown by the athlete. Here are this week's honorees from Murrieta Valley:

Lineman Tanoa Fedler played a key role for the football team in its 42-37 victory over rival Vista Murrieta in the league opener Friday night. The Nighthawks improved their record to 4-2 overall and handed Vista its first league loss since 2008.

Tennis player Kelsey Lajom won all nine of her doubles sets last week, leading the Nighthawks to victories in three consecutive days.

Hunter Raemakers is a senior co-captain with the boys water polo team. He had a big game defensively in overcoming illness to help the team beat Vista Murrieta last week. He is a four-year letter winner and was a second-team all-league pick last year.

Golfer Elsa Trivison has been one of the team's most consistent athletes this year, said coach Rogelio Gallegos. She had an outstanding round against Vista Murrieta in a recent match.

These athletes will be eligible for the October Athlete of the Month award. Anyone wishing to order a print copy of this article may do so by emailing murrieta247info@gmail.com.
