Two Lake Elsinore men were arrested for previous warrants and drug possession after police stopped a suspicious vehicle in a Murrieta neighborhood Friday morning, authorities said.

The Murrieta Police Department received a call at 2:20 a.m. regarding a suspicious vehicle driving slowly through neighborhoods near Sycamore Creek Avenue and Scooter Way, according to a news release. A caller said two men had exited the vehicle and walked down a nearby cul-de-sac.

Soon after, officers stopped a vehicle matching the description provided at Washington Avenue and Laura Drive. A records check revealed that Ray York, 32, had an outstanding felony warrant for identity theft and three misdemeanor warrants. Kyle York, 30, was searched and found to have narcotics paraphernalia in his pants pocket.

Ray York was arrested for the four warrants and Kyle was arrested for the drug possession. No evidence of crimes in the neighborhood was discovered.
