Each week, Murietta 24/7 honors top student-athletes at Vista Murrieta High School. The coach of each varsity sport is allowed to select one athlete based on the previous week's performances or on potential shown by the athlete. Here are the honorees from Vista Murrieta for the week of Oct. 17:

Golfer Manu Hall shot a 41, her personal low, and 43 to help the Broncos defeat Chaparral and Temecula Valley that week.

Girls volleyball player Jayde Harris has done a good job adapting to a new position. She had a season-high 10 kills in a match against Murrieta Mesa.

Girls tennis player Emma Vanderhyden won five out of six sets in a recent match. After losing a 5-2 lead, she regrouped and won the tiebreaker.

Peyton Candaele has been the most consistent runner for the girls cross country team with personal bests of 18:01 for three miles.

Anthony Parisi has been the boys cross country's team's most improved runner, said coach Coley Candaele. He started the season as a JV runner and has now worked his way into a varsity top 5 position.

Keyon Ware-Hudson returned an interception 27 yards for a touchdown in the football team's 40-10 win over Murrieta Mesa on Oct. 15.

These athletes will be eligible for the October Athlete of the Month award. Anyone wishing to order a print copy of this article may do so by emailing murrieta247info@gmail.com.
