A Murrieta Valley High School student was arrested for making criminal threats and a false bomb threat Thursday after the school was locked down for nearly a half hour, police said.

The school was placed on lockdown at 10:30 a.m. as a precautionary measure after receiving a bomb threat via phone call, said school district and police authorities. Murrieta Police conducted a search of the campus and found no explosive devices at the school. They determined the school was safe and the lockdown was lifted at 10:50 a.m.

The student was booked into Southwest Juvenile Hall.
