A Temecula woman was arrested after she was stopped by a Murrieta Police officer in possession of a stolen vehicle on Monday, authorities said.

An officer was conducting routine patrol in the area of Del Val Drive and Bolina Drive at 9:10 a.m. when she noticed a vehicle parked on the side of the road with the doors open. Aware of recent vehicle burglaries, the officer checked and located a female inside the vehicle.

A records check revealed that Manijeh Separ, 18, was on mandatory supervision probation for narcotics violations and possession of a stolen vehicle. The vehicle in this incident was reported stolen in Murrieta on Jan 12.

Separ told officers she was at the location visiting her friend, Joshua Martinez. A check of that individual showed he was on probation for weapons-related charges and had four outstanding misdemeanor warrants for his arrest.

Separ was arrested for possession of the stolen vehicle and narcotic paraphernalia. Martinez, 22, was arrested for the outstanding warrants. Both were booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center in Murrieta.
