Murrieta 24/7 honors area high school athletes for their accomplishments. Coaches of each sport are invited to submit athletes for recognition. Here are this week's Athletes of the Week at Murrieta Mesa High School:

Alana Aldus entered the week with 22 goals and 2 assists for 24 points. She is the first girls lacrosse player at Murrieta Mesa to commit to play in college. She will be attending Anderson University.

"She will continue to do amazing things," said her coach, Molly Sovacool. "Alana is a senior who will be missed heavily next year. She truly has left her legacy at MMHS and is one of the most aggressive Rams in the program."

The doubles team of Anthony Weaver and Sean Bae came into the week with an 18-12 record as the tennis team's No. 1 doubles team.
