Three Murrieta men were among six people who were arrested Nov. 6 on weapons charges following a series of search warrants, Murrieta Police announced today.

John Paul Blas, Jonathan Bloom and Charles Foster were booked into Cois Byrd Detention Center following the service of 10 search warrants by various agencies in the cities of Murrieta, Temecula, Menifee, Lake Elsinore, Wildomar and Oceanside. The warrants were part of an investigation of assault with a deadly weapon believed to be related to a local motorcycle club.

A total of 21 weapons were seized, including at least one that was converted into a fully automatic assault rifle. In addition, over an ounce of methamphetamine and cocaine were seized, along with several hundred dollars related to the sale of drugs.

Foster faces charges of possession of a machine gun, a controlled substance, a large capacity magazine, controlled substance with a firearm, possession of metal knuckles, and destruction of evidence.

Bloom faces charges of possession of an assault weapon, controlled substance and a firearm without a serial number. Blas faces a charge of possession of an unregistered firearm.

Two Wildomar residents and a Lake Elsinore resident also were arrested.
