Murrieta Valley High School has a terrific program for selected juniors and seniors called Virtual Enterprise. Over the course of the school year, students create unique and imaginary / virtual businesses. Each department of the business has specific tasks, such as research and write a marketing plan, develop an employee handbook, create radio and video commercials, design and build a trade show booth, and much more.

Students also learn how to manage personal finances as if they were earning salaries. Adults who learn about the program say, "I wish they had that when I was in high school!"

The program is now seeking adult volunteers and support for the next school year. You can help with anything from coming to class once a week to a one-time presentation about your career to assisting with the program's fundraising.

To learn more about this valuable program, attend the Virtual Enterprise Showcase on March 19 from 6-8 p.m. in the MVHS Library. To RSVP, contact VE student Anna Holman by March 3 at annaeholman2019@gmail.com
