Fire engulfs house across from Los Alamos Sports Park

Firefighters were on the scene of a house fire that engulfed a residence across the street from Los Alamos Sports Park, authorities said Saturday.

Murrieta Fire and Rescue first responders arrived on scene about 4 p.m. in the 37500 block of Los Alamos Road, near Ruth Ellen Lane. According to the department's Facebook page, additional resources were requested and residents were advised to avoid the area.
